Birthday Party!

So my youngest daughter just turned one in early January. I initially was planning a carnvial themed party, until I happened to stumble upon the My Gym website. All of the kids are going to have so much fun, almost as much fun as I had making these invites!

Craft Space

Finally reorganized my craft space, I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it works for now! I need something on the walls, I think a trip to Ikea is in my future.

Jungle Themed Baby Shower . . .

My oldest daughter's cousin's mom (got that?) was having a jungle themed baby shower for her daughter and asked me to help out, here's what I came up with:

The centerpieces are made out of recycled formula cans!

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween with the girls, Taryn was a witch (or a wish as she calls it), Jocelyn was a pink zebra and Brayden was a lion. Here's a shot of them:I did a few crafts but of course forgot to take pictures of some of them! But I did try my luck with fabric, the cricut and iron on adhesive, I think it worked out pretty good!

Ugh . . .

I've been computerless at home for a couple of months now, but I'm finally back online! My camera also went MIA, but I do have a few new projects to post!

First scrapbook pages . . . but a long story first!

August 1st, 2007. My extended family and I were on our way to the Jersey Shore for a much deserved week long vacation. It just so happened that the little one I was 28 weeks pregnant with decided she didn't feel like hanging out in the womb anymore, evidently she had bigger and better things to do. I didn't quite realize I was in labor since my contractions were very irregular, but knew something wasn't right. I called my OB on the drive down, they said I was probably dehydrated and should go to the nearest medical center for fluids. Cool, I can do that. I go to the hospital, find out that I'm 5 cm dialated and 100% effaced. Doc says this kid is coming today, but (and this is a big but) they don't have a NICU, I'll need to be taken via helicopter to the nearest level three NICU which is Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Taryn Anna was born shortly after we arrived at Cooper, she was 2 pounds 10 ounces, 12.5 inches to a very scared set of parents. She was my inspiration to start scrapping, and here are my first pages of her.

She spent 70 days in the NICU, and just celebrated her second birthday!

A labor of love . . .

Last year my niece asked me to make Abby Cadabby invitations for her daughters first birthday party. Perfect, it will give me a chance to whip out that Sesame Street cart that I hadn't used yet. I made the invites (40) and centerpieces (15). Had I known all of the teeny tiny pieces Abby required, I may have tried to talk her into Elmo or Cookie! Here's a shot of the invites and center pieces:
